When traveling, I always make a point of seeking out other goldsmiths. On this trip through the South Island, I met many wonderful goldsmiths who were generous with their time offering a cool view into their work day. I enjoyed how these two who modified their benches for creating their zone for working. Often the work is done way in the back, behind the jewelry cases of gleaming gold and silver with precious gems. These two chose to be upfront and use modified Singer sewing tables as their benches while sporting dashing ties, rather than aprons.
